WATERFALL, WATERLOO
18 O’Dea Avenue, Waterloo
Status: Complete
Waterfall is the latest luxury residential development to be completed in Waterloo, Sydney. This sophisticated collection of four buildings is designed by leading Sydney architects, SJB and built by award-winning developers.
Three towers climbing eight storeys high are connected by long open-air walkways, interspersed with bridges at ideal viewing points. At the north-east corner lies the 21-storey signature tower, which rises elegantly above the lush greenery below. Together, these four interconnected buildings house 331 residential apartments along with developer's signature resort-style amenities and a selection of retail outlets on the ground floor.
The development features a specially commissioned public artwork by installation artist Mika Utzon Popov (grandson of Sydney Opera House architect, Jorn Utzon). The grid of hand-sculpted concrete panels has been installed across the southern entry wall on building B, facing O’Dea Avenue. The artwork is designed to allow the façade to respond to light and weather throughout the day and night.
